How are the Nominees decided for the Talanta Awards Categories?
The Nominations Begins On:-May 15th 2012 – June 30th 2012 and are entered online in categories ( every year) then three names/groups that earn most nominations become nominees qualifying them to be entered for final voting which will open on July 15th 2012 to August 29th 2012 . There may be more than three nominees if there is a tie in the nomination process. Ballots are computer-tabulated through an independent firm ( Global Solutions). Following the tabulation of votes the winners are announced at The Talanta Awards Ceremony.
TALANTA AWARDS – Who Nominates?
Talanta Dev. Inc DOES NOT nominate anyone. All nominees are submitted either by themselves, their fans, friends or family. Talanta therefore does not take any responsibility for individuals who might for any reason not be willing to participate but their names/songs are never the less submitted. Such individuals hold the right to contact Talanta and have their names or songs removed from the nominations or voting list before such period expires.

Any one with access to internet and a valid email address is eligible to vote or nominate.
Talanta Awards – The Voting Process
Fans or anyone globally nominates persons of their choice then short listing of 3 nominees with most entries is conducted after 1½ months followed by voting soon after. Following the tabulation, the nominee (1) with the most votes among the top 3 in each category are announced during the Awards ceremony.
The process is not supposed to be influenced by sales, chart performance, personal friendships, regional preferences or company loyalty. The acceptance of gifts is prohibited. Members are urged to vote in a manner that preserves the integrity of this cause. The nomination and final voting processes requires that members vote only in their fields of expertise.
In addition to receiving the prestigious award, recording companies and individuals reward the winners with various deals that may differ annually depending on the sponsors’ offers. Opportunities are also given to people in Africa who qualify as top nominees in the Non-United States residents to attend the awards ceremony by sending them invitation letters for their visas.
How are categories changed or added?
Proposals for changes to the categories are reviewed each year by The Talanta Awards & Nominations Committee, with final approval by The Awards Executive Director and/or Trustees. Proposals may be submitted by any member.

Talanta Awards draws it’s support from well wishers and partners.

Talanta Awards – How Does a song/act Qualify to win award
Talanta Africa Awards is a youth focus empowerment platform that does not ‘judge’ submission like other re-known Awards. Talanta is out on a mission to promote and empower especially those talents that are unknown, un-utilized, under-utilized, un-acknowledged, un-tapped helping them in all ways possible to reach heights they would otherwise not reach on their own. We believe there are more such talents than we know. The already known talents brought to the Talanta platform are there for inspiration and mentor-ship to up-coming talents. We therefore welcome ALL talents.
Talanta Awards – Membership Requirements
You hear it during almost every Talanta awards acceptance speech, “I’d like to thank the members of the Talanta Awards.” Who are those people and how do you become one?
These may include vocalists, conductors, songwriters, composers, community based groups,pastors, youth leaders, engineers, producers, instrumentalists, arrangers, art directors, album notes writers, narrators, and music video artists and technicians. There is a place for ALL to be part of this cause either as nominees, volunteers or supporters. Raising a generation that is fully equipped and ready to take on the tasks ahead with integrity, confidence and enthusiasm is a community responsibility that cannot be achieved without YOU.
How are categories changed or added?

1. How safe is Online Giving?
Our Online Giving system is backed by PayPal, the safest and largest online payments system in the world.
2. Can I give online with debit cards?
Yes. You may give online with any debit card that has a Visa or Mastercard logo. Please take your time and enter all of your personal and debit card information in correctly for proper processing.
3. Can I give online with credit cards?
Yes. You may give online with credit cards from all of the major credit card companies (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). We encourage all of our members and friends to use credit cards as a part of larger, responsible financial plan.
4. Can I give with a check?

7. Can I give online with checks or bank drafts?
Yes. To give online with a check or bank draft, you must choose PayPal when you begin the Online Giving process. This will take you to the secure PayPal site and explain how you can give with your personal or business checking or savings account.
8. Will my bank or debit/credit card information be shared with anyone at the secretariat or elsewhere?No. You are the only person that will ever see your bank or debit/credit card information. Talanta Awards, our web hosting companies, and even our online payments processor will never have access to your debit/credit card information or your bank account details.
9. How soon will the donation be debited from my account?
Generally within 24-48 hours.
10. Will I have a record/receipt for what I gave online?
Yes. After the funds have been deducted from your account, a receipt will be sent to the email address that you provided during the Online Giving process.
11. Do I have to use my personal computer to give online?
No. You may access the Talanta Awards website and our Online Giving options from any computer in the world.
