What Others Say

“By bringing community under the Talanta banner to identify, nurture and develop the talent of our people, the founders of Talanta Awards took upon themselves a daunting task, may the the fire that ignited that vision keep burning even brighter.”

“Talanta Awards, Inc, is giving the youth from the Diaspora the motivation, reason and platform to excel and showcase their God given talents as Christians.
A great vision and worthy of your support!”

1 Samuel 10:20-23
“Samuel called all the tribes of Israel…And Saul the son of Kish was chosen but when they looked for him, he was not to be found. So they inquired of the Lord…and the Lord said ‘He has hidden himself among the BAGGAGE’. They RAN AND BROUGHT HIM OUT.”

This is what TALANTA is
about…’bringing out the Chosen’

” The Lord does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.”
The Spirit bears us witness that TALANTA vision is GOD birthed. The One who began this good work will work it on to completion for His own Glory.

I Love this organization, for it appreciates and encourages us to press on and us the talents that the Lord has given us. I pray many more people will continue to support our Young Talent.

First and foremost is to thank almighty God for this opportunity to connect,Talanta is a good organization but work on:1.The master of ceremony should love it and be clear on the message.2.The time of event to start should be early. 3.Organize seminars for the artists during the a ward.6.Think a bout starting you own label were winner come be given one year contract of recording, advertising and tour.Otherwise good work.Amen.

We just want to acknowledge the great work that Talanta awards has been doing over the last years. Undoubtedly this is one of the finest hearts and brains that goes out to the grassroots to raise the future leaders in various professions and to launch out those who are taking off into the world scene where they can show the world what they got.
It wouldn’t be fair if i did not mention the economic opportunities that are created after Talantas work of recognition that goes to changing the world there especially amongst the Kenyan religious and secular community.
Talanta awards is a platform for greatness and a role model of what such like non-profit organizations should be doing.Simply ‘making it happen’.

It is about time that Talanta awards should be given an achievements award as one of the most beneficial organisations especially in the media and music sectors.

Congratulations to the organizers who work tirelessly to make others worthwhile.
Keep up the good work Talanta Awards.

God bless you.

I like the color theme very authentic. I also admire how the layout is friendly, someone can easily browse through and can get exactly what they want to find. The only thing that I would like to see on the home page is more incentives that would draw my attention to the site. Incentives such as more pictures, probably feature “the inspiring young person of the week” something in that like. Basically highlighting the main purpose of this whole organization which is inspiring the young people. Only it would be such a blessing to see information happening in other states and what the young ppl are doin in other states/countries and maybe this will expand the Talanta network as well……I love the site so far.

Mr. Talanta President,
I like your good works and your vision , its clear that you want to explore Kenyan artiste to compete and be on the global scene , that’s very good Sir and keep up the good works , am particularly interested in the Person of the Year award a.k.a prestigious Life Time Achievement Award and best Artiste. i think you shouldn’t Judge by politics, faith, connections , and personal views you should Judge on lyrics and people votes.

As fellow Kenyan it is my privilege and distinct honor to witness this kind of success in community based projects abroad. I have been part of many functions as a representative of our people. All these functions are important, Talanta Awards has a special meaning and it is a great pleasure and honor to share it with you. Sometimes along the road to a better life, when we are faced with difficulties, when we stumble and fall, it is all too easy to despair and give up. The founders and Directors of Talanta Development Inc took upon themselves a huge burden to start and run an organization of this magnitude.

When one hears of how our communities are joining hands to create a better life for themselves and those around them, then we regain the strength to meet whatever difficulties there may be.

Martha Karua

Fundamental to the success of all our efforts at reconstruction and development is community action and participation. As we face the challenge of meeting our people’s basic needs with limited resources, those who roll up their sleeves and take the initiative to uplift their conditions in the spirit of community based initiatives, and in partnership with others, set an example for all of us to follow.

None of our plans can succeed without such efforts. Talanta Development Inc on its own cannot provide what is needed, nor should it try to do so. But with your support, both moral and financial many lost dreams can be realized.

In conclusion, to the communities you represent, and indeed to all the fifty states and more who were nominees, winners, runner-up, we say: Congratulations!

May the injection of resources which the prizes bring, help you build on the foundation you have laid. May your example reinforce the spirit of great leaders in our land. May it strengthen the partnership of organizations and communities!

Together we have made a good start. Let us work together to build the country of our dreams!

Abby here! Talanta is off the hook this is the best show ever here in the US where we are able to show our friends family and fans back home and all over the world that not every young person gets ‘lost’ when they go the the United States. We are proud to rep. Christ and Him alone! we love it when Talanta appreciates us and gives us a platform to showcase our love for JC in our own way. Meggie founder of Talanta, you Rock! we love you! Keep up the good work.

It is great to see what Talanta is doing.I’m delighted that there finally is an initiative to recognise talent that we have among the African Diaspora especially as most are unsigned artists, who struggle to produce the best they can, with at times limited resources they have. Appreciating their work is a major motivation and a great encouragement, which is exactly what Talanta is doing.

Meggie Waruri, the founder of Talanta is such a brave woman of God! I really admire her courage and how she has obeyed God to step out and make a difference by doing what God put in her heart to do. I’m greatly inspired by her vision, especially the impact it has in Young people’s lives in encouraging them to discover their potential and use their Talents and become the best they can be in God. This clearly came across during the last Talanta Awards (2009) where hundreds of young people came out.

Talanta Awards 2009 was great, there was a lot of vibe and excitement; however, the organisation and coordination of events throughout could have been better with more volunteers as co-workers. I’m sure there was a lot learnt from the event and it will get better as this was only the second event.

July is only around the corner and I’m already looking forward to Talanta Awards 2010!

I like everything about the awards ,you are proving that gospel music industry has to be integrated and to some extent diversified in the spread of the the gospel, with some mad talent in music and specifically a representative of Christ who died for me i’ve not gotten a chance to record any song the problem is that, cash is lacking various Kenyan top producers ,have promised to sign me up but at the end of the day they don’t fulfill their promise .I will be very grateful if you can lend your hand towards living my dreams in music and spreading the word of God.

Kudos!!! to the founder, supporters and the Talanta Awards inc. organization. What you are trying to do for us the youth is incredible. I hope that we take advantage of this golden opportunity and adhere to our calling. God being the foundation of this organization, I am confident to say that the seeds planted on this land will produce fruit. I am excited to see what God has instore for this Joshua Generation. Something this great needs alot of support-prayer. Young people let’s take the initiative of participating and not letting this opportunity pass us by. Once again thank you Talanta Awards inc. family, may God Bless you.

Hi Guys,

Foremost, good job. My advice toward all this nominees is that, let the Talanta Awards committee organise and experience professionals in music to make a final judge on Talanta award winners.

People might come up with different opinion which will definitely base on their personal view which might be wrong musically.

Let each each point be made by people who are trained in such field, after then u can now take public opinion to back back the final judgment up.

Thanks,

I foresee huge success in the coming years where we can have The Talanta Awards Tour to be used market the gospel music industry, promote the nominees music and products across the globe and open doors for upcoming aspiring singers, songwriters and musicians. It will also act as a tool for giving back to society by visiting prisons, children’s homes and other deserving members of society.

Much credit goes to Talanta Award, that has continued to work tirelessly, many times against a tide of opposition and criticism, to stage this awesome showcase. You continue to raise the bar and set high standards of excellence for the Talanta Awards. This year, and in what was a major coup for such an event, this was the very first local award show beamed live into millions of Kenyan and African households courtesy of the good folk at talantawards.com and kenyangospel.com. As a result, Tlanta Awards 2009 undoubtedly had the largest online audience of any such ceremony in the region ever. EVER!

God doesn’t always call the qualified, He qualified the called, the more you keep trying to have it your own way, the longer the process takes. The enemy won’t give up without a fight, whether the battle is over your Business, your Family, your Health, your Job, your finance, your marriage and others. The closer you get to victory the more intense and confused the battle becomes, therefore you must rise above the attitude around you.

Am a concerned fan of talanta, and I have a question concerning this event..It’s good that we having talanta again this year, thanx to you Talanta Awards but I think it’s too early..I mean like we jst had it a few months ago, so we don’t have enough time to learn who to nominate come April..Artists too don’t have enough time too to do something new so I … See Morethink they just gonna use what they already used last year…It would be of great help for us if you postponed this event so we can have enough variety of who to vote for. Thank you so much Maggie and may the Lord continue to bless you as you bless us.
